Carol Jones was born on October 20, 1920. Her birthplace is Los Angeles, California. Her nationality is American. Carol’s father is Clarence Young Jones, born in 1892 and died in 1963. Her mother is Lorena Pearl O’Neal Jones, born in 1898 and died in 1949. Carol’s father was the owner of the Fat Jones Stables, Inc, which was located in North Hollywood.

Her father’s stable was among the largest suppliers of cattle, horses, wagons, wranglers, and carriages for different movie and television industries. The company existed for over 51 years, from 1921 to 1963.

Carol Jones was married to Ben Johnson, an American actor. Her marriage lasted for 53 years since August 31, 1941, and ended on March 27, 1994, after she succumbed to a long illness at Mesa, Maricopa, at the age of 73. Unfortunately, the couple had no children despite their 53 years of marriage. The couple lived in Mesa, Ariz.

The burial ceremony for Carol Elaine Jones was held at The Banker’s Garden Chapel in Mesa. She was laid to rest at the Pawhuska Cemetery, and the Johnson’s Funeral Home handled the ceremony.

His actor life began when he went to deliver horses for a Hollywood film. That’s when he got a breakthrough in acting courtesy of John Ford. Still, he owned a horse-breeding ranch and was a renowned real estate investor.

Carol’s husband was born in Foraker, Oklahoma. He is the son of Ollie Susan Johnson, and his father is Ben Johnson Sr. He was raised as a rancher, and he followed his dad’s footsteps, who was a rancher and a rodeo champion.

His film career began when he acted in The Outlaw film. Moreover, being a reputable stuntman landed him an acting role in the file Fort Apache where he was handed the role by John Ford, the film director.

Ben Johnson got into rodeos and horse breeding at an early age. His passion for rodeo saw him take an acting break to focus on the Rodeo Cowboys Association competition, and he became the Team Roping World Champion. He was even inducted as a ProRodeo Hall of Fame member in 1979.

Johnson married his wife Carol in 1941, and they never got any children. His wife, Carol Jones, died in 1994, and Johnson had a heart attack on August 8, 1996, leading to his death at 77. He was buried in Pawhuska City Cemetery.
