David Wilburn Parton was born into what would become a massive family consisting of many siblings. He was born on March 30th, 1942. He was born to parents Robert Lee Parton and Avie Lee Caroline Parton with the maiden name Owens. He was born in Sevierville, Sevier County in the United States of America.

He was one of the few members of the Parton family who chose to shy away from the media. There isn’t much information about him personally online although there is quite some information about his siblings who have chosen to be in the entertainment industry. Many of the members of the Parton family have chosen careers in some of the different parts of the entertainment industry, like music and television shows, movies, and writing books and cookbooks.

Parents

His father Robert Lee Parton Senior, fondly known as Lee had farming in his blood. He worked as a farmer among many other jobs to help sustain the large Parton family. He farmed raised livestock and farmed tobacco on a piece of land that he was able to acquire in Sevier County.

His mother Avie Lee was of Welsh descent, she was a mother of twelve by the time she turned 35. Avie Lee didn’t always have the best health, unfortunately. She is accredited with inspiring many of his siblings who joined the music industry as she used to entertain them with songs. Avie Lee’s father Jake Owens was a pastor at a Pentecostal church and he shared some of the musical talents that the Patron kids inherited. He used to play the fiddle and he wrote some of his own songs.

Career and Net Worth

As previously mentioned, there is not a lot of information to be found on him or his career. Although there is a one in three chance that he is a carpenter by profession as one of his sisters mentioned her brother being a carpenter. There is no available information on his net worth.

His Famous Siblings

Out of his at least 11 siblings about 8 were or are in the entertainment industry. Probably the most famous of his siblings would be country singing legend Dolly Parton who not only has the highest net worth in the family but probably a higher net worth than the rest of her family’s net worth combined. Two of his brothers Floyd and Randy also went into the entertainment industry becoming singers in their own right but also performing alongside Dolly Parton.

Floyd has unfortunately since passed away but he can always be remembered for songs like ‘Rockin Years’ or ‘Nickels and Dimes’ which he co-wrote with Dolly Parton.

One of his sisters, Frieda, who used to be in a punk band in her earlier years has since become an ordained minister, perhaps inspired by their grandfather Jake Owens.

There are a couple more of his siblings who are into the show business scene like Randy, Rachel, and Stella-Mae.
